The Lady and the Unicorn (French: La Dame à la licorne) is the modern title given to a series of six tapestries created in the style of mille-fleurs (meaning: "thousand flowers") and woven in Flanders from wool and silk, from designs ("cartoons") drawn in Paris around 1500. The set, on display in the Musée de Cluny in Paris, is often considered one of the greatest works of art of the Middle Ages in Europe.
Five of the tapestries are commonly interpreted as depicting the five senses – taste, hearing, sight, smell, and touch. The sixth displays the words "À mon seul désir". The tapestry's meaning is obscure, but has been interpreted as representing love or understanding. Each of the six tapestries depicts a noble lady with the unicorn on her left and a lion on her right; some include a monkey in the scene.
Art History[]
The tapestries were rediscovered in 1841 by Prosper Mérimée in Boussac castle (owned at the time by the subprefect of the Creuse) where they had been suffering damage from their storage conditions. In 1844 the novelist George Sand saw them and brought public attention to the tapestries in her works at the time (most notably in her novel Jeanne), in which she correctly dated them to the end of the fifteenth century, using the ladies' costumes for reference. Nevertheless, the tapestries continued to be threatened by damp and mould until 1863, when they were bought by Edmond du Sommerard, curator of the Musée de Cluny in Paris, where careful conservation has restored them nearly to their former glory and where they are still on display.

Location Overall[]
In The Song of the Unicorn while the Little Einsteins are on their way to save the unicorn, they sing the unicorn song to help Leo save the unicorn and enter the medieval tapestries art while they meet an ostrich and Leo meets him and tells the ostrich that he is a conductor and he said that he is on the way to the Statue of the Unicorn by singing all the animals together, so the ostrich tells Leo that he needs to go down the musical road to get to the Statue of the Unicorn. And soon, Leo boards Rocket and they follow down the musical road and sing the unicorn song once again.
Once the Little Einsteins are at the end of the musical road, the gate latch shut and locked because there is no escape. The mean queen is back again who is hiding inside the pavilion and this time, she uses her magic mirror to create a lion and runs towards the Little Einsteins which is the accelerando lion! And soon, Leo had a plan, he can conduct the accelerando lion to slow down, Ritardando, to stop the lion charge the Little Einsteins by waving his hands side to side faster to feel the music, and then slower and slower as the lion go slower and slower, and Leo conducts the lion from the accelerando lion to a Ritardando lion, lastly the lion go so slow that he fell asleep.
Soon, Rocket saw that the Unicorn is still a statue and saw that few more leaves fall to the ground and Quincy told Leo that he needs to hurry to get to the unicorn so he can conduct all the animals before all the leaves fall to the ground and Annie told that it's the only way to break the statue spell. Soon, Leo told Rocket go full speed ahead on the musical trail, and all of the other team sing the unicorn song.
June told that Rocket needs to stay on the musical road to get to the Statue of the Unicorn. Meanwhile, the mean queen is back and this time, she's hiding behind the tree and uses her magic mirror to create a Multi-pathed Musical Road and they don't know which way they need to go to get to the Statue of the Unicorn, and Leo had to get to the Statue of the Unicorn to help all the animal sing together to break the statue spell that cast around the unicorn before all the leaves fall to the ground. Just then, Annie points out the monkey and Quincy meets with the monkey and the monkey knows how to find the musical road which is the unicorn song. Soon the monkey pulls out the music notes of the unicorn song which is the finale of the 1812 Overture. First they had to look and listen to the first musical road, but the song is called La Marseillaise and this musical road didn't go that way. Secondly, they had to look and listen to the second musical road, but that musical road has the song called At My Grandfather's Gate and it didn't go to the Statue of the Unicorn either. Lastly, they look and listen to the third musical road and this way does go the Statue of the Unicorn. Quincy thanks the monkey to look and listen to the unicorn song that goes down the third path. Afterwards, the Little Einsteins board Rocket and go down the third path of the Multi-pathed Musical Road and sang the unicorn song one last time.
Soon, Rocket saw that the Little Einsteins are getting closer to the Statue of the Unicorn, but June saw that there are few remaining leaves left on the tree and Annie told that Leo needs to hurry to get to the Statue of the Unicorn to conduct the animals and Quincy told that they have to break the statue spell before few remaining leaves falls to the ground. Luckily, Leo tells Rocket that he needs to get to the unicorn as fast as he can fly of his new power: Super Fast!! And when they're ready, the team is using thumbs up while Rocket activates his Backup Booster, the speedy meter activates with music gas.
First, they have to start at adagio as they have to pat the beat on their lap slowly. Next, they're going to moderato as they have to pat the beat on their tummies a little faster. Then, they're going to allegro as they have to pat the beat on their shoulders even faster! And finally, the music speed has made it to Presto, which means they are ready to reach their arms to the sky and shake their whole bodies! Now, they did it!! And so, the Little Einsteins arrived at the Statue of the Unicorn and Leo needs all of the animals and they all join together to sing in order to break the statue spell. Annie points out in shock that the last leaf is still on the tree, and Leo uses his baton and begins to break the spell! First, Leo can conduct the monkeys high above the tree by reach his baton high above his head and wave his arm back and forth to conduct and make the monkeys sing. Second, Leo use his baton way down low to conduct the rabbits and wave his arm back and forth to make the rabbits sing and soon parts of the statue start to break. Third, Leo uses his baton way over to the left to conduct the fox and wave his arm back and forth to make the foxes sing and the tail section of the statue starts to break. Fourth, Leo uses his baton all the way to the right and conducts the ostriches to sing and more part of the statue starting to break. Then, Leo uses his baton to conduct the monkeys up high and the rabbits down and more statue parts start to break! Afterwards, Leo use his baton to conduct the foxes to the left and the ostriches to the right and even more statue part starting to break. So because of this, the statue spell is almost broken and the unicorn is almost free! Lastly, Leo conducts all the animals by conducting the monkeys, rabbits, foxes, and the ostriches, all together! And soon the last statue parts fall apart and soon, the statue spell is broken and the unicorn is finally free!
Meanwhile, the mean queen is back and she uses her magic mirror to cast another spell at Leo, but Rocket uses his own mirror to deflect the spell and it traps the mean queen in a bubble. Afterward, the unicorn comes over to the queen. She apologizes and feels bad about putting the spell on the unicorn and the mean queen wants to sing together with all of the animals. Quincy exclaims that the unicorn is conducting the queen and the mean queen is singing! June noticed that all of the animals are singing together with the queen, and Annie said that she's going to be a nice queen from now on for all heroes of France.
