The Backup Booster (aka the Mega Booster) is a tool that helps Rocket fly faster. It is a booster that consists of 9 rocket engines.
The tool first appeared in Ring Around the Planet. Despite its appearance in Season 1, the tool is rarely used, only being used in four episodes. However, the tool plays a major role in Season 2 (including Rocket's Firebird Rescue), as it was used by Rocket to fly Super Fast with a Speedy Meter in all episodes, except Quincy and the Magic Instruments.
