Trivia[]
- The Polonaise movement of the symphony is a stylization of the Polish folk song, Wezmę ja kontusz (English: I'll take my nobleman's robe).
- The Badinerie movement has since become a showpiece for solo flautists because of its quick pace and diffuculty.
- The Badinerie has been used in various children's media, such as the theme to the British children's television show Picture Book and as incidental music for ITV Schools morning programmes. It was also used as the ninth track in the companion CD for Baby Bach, a video by Baby Einstein.
