He serves as the deuteragonist of the 2005 direct-to-video musical science fantasy adventure feature-length film Our Big HUGE Adventure.

Caterpillar/Butterfly is kind hearted, determined and very supportive. He's close friends with Annie. Caterpillar/Butterfly is also a little sensitive and doesn't like being left out.

Appearance

As a caterpillar, he is a Monarch butterfly caterpillar who is colored lake yellow with black and white stripes. He loves eating yellow leaves. Between A Brand New Outfit and The Missing Invitation, he transformed from a caterpillar to a butterfly. As a butterfly, he has orange wings with black borders and veins. His wings also has white spots along the edges, like other Monarchs. He also has a black body.
