Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 is the fifth of Johann Sebastian Bach's Brandenburg Concertos. Catalogued on the BWV as 1050.2 (originally 1050), It was written for harpsichord, flute and violin as soloists, and an orchestral accompaniment consisting of strings and continuo. An earlier version of the concerto, numbered BWV 1050.1 originated in the late 1710s. The current concerto was composed around 1721 and was dedicated to Margrave Christian Ludwig of Brandenburg.
It is the music that was used in the episodes, Farmer Annie and The Birthday Machine.

In Farmer Annie, Brandenburg Concerto 5 was used as the Super Mystery Seed song, and for helping the seeds in the Three Little Piggies' garden to grow.
In The Birthday Machine, Brandenburg Concerto 5 was used to sing the Birthday Machine song, and was also used for the Little Einsteins to help find the pieces of the Birthday Machine to build it.
